Pexip Connect for Google Rooms: Microsoft Teams for Google Meet Hardware

Pexip Connect for Google Rooms is now available, enabling any certified Google Meet Hardware to dial into Microsoft Teams calls. No extra hardware, no additional cables, no laptop to run the call – your meeting room hardware will directly connect to a Teams meeting. Pexip Connect is a cloud-based platform that seamlessly connects Google Meet Hardware to Microsoft Teams calls; a one-time setup enables it across the entire organisation and then joining Teams calls is as intuitive as joining calls on Google Meet, Zoom or Webex.

An image of Google Meet Hardware featuring a video bar mounted above a large screen displaying a video call of a woman and a man on Microsoft Teams, with a Google Meet touch controller in the foreground. There are annotated arrows pointing at the Microsoft Teams meeting and the Google Meet Hardware.

Whether your Google Meet Hardware features a ChromeOS Compute System or an Android video bar, Pexip Connect bridges the gap between Google Meet and Microsoft Teams in your meeting rooms. You can book a meeting room and join the Teams call with one-touch join or manually type in the meeting ID and passcode to join an ad-hoc meeting.

Calendar integration

With Pexip, you can book your Google Meet Hardware for a Microsoft Teams call in the same way that you’d book it for a Google Meet call. You simply add the meeting room to your calendar event when creating it. In your meeting room, the Microsoft Teams call will show up on the schedule, ready for you to join.

Similar to Zoom and Webex interoperability, when you receive a calendar invitation to a Teams call, duplicate the event and then add your meeting room.

On the left is the Google Meet logo, with the words “Google Meet Hardware” above it, and on the right is the Microsoft Teams logo, with the words “Teams meeting” above it. Between the two, in the centre, is the Pexip logo, joined to the other two logos by a dashed line.

Simple configuration

Setup is easy. Once your account is created, enter your Pexip customer ID into the Google admin panel to enable interoperability with Microsoft Teams. Then join your first Teams call from your Google Meet Hardware.

Pexip works on everything

Pexip Connect is the only solution that allows interoperability between any certified Google Meet Hardware and Microsoft Teams.
